Before 911 this equiptment (WIA funded) was used to exact personal vendettas and to smear political opponents

"I tend to agree. we should be electing the best candidates without much consideration of party affiliation, but I have to wonder why a candidate would become affiliated with a party that is in favor of spying on American citizens' phone calls and emails and which would drive us into deep debt while giving tax cuts to the very richest and building bridges to nowhere in Alaska while New Orleans remains unrepaired. If it is true that Rose changed parties only because Judge Hinojosa tried to change the law of Texas to cheat her husband out of a case and, when the rest of the court would not go along, Judge Hinojosa decided to sit on the case until the end of time without ruling on it, that is a motive which would answer some questions for me. But as far as joining up with the Republican party at this time with all the front-page scandals of stealing money from the American Indian tribes, I don't understand that unless there is a motive like Rose's.

This became a Mike Hatchell Texas Supreme Court Case.

Now on to the eavesdropping.WIA / Byrne Grant / Cisneros ? COPS program TEC>>>>> TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION.REMEMBER IN kINGSVILLE?

The new Sherriff / County Jail was built and the new communications devices they acquired? Remember the spat between the Sherriff and the Police Department? The Sherriff had the capability to listen to up to 100~150 phone conversations. Then the KPD built their new building next to the sherriff and worked out a deal allowing the KPD access to the equiptment and then KPD eventually acquired their own? Before 911 this equiptment was used to exact personal vendettas and to smear political opponents. Remember Sam Granato, Fil Esquivel and the Black Copters? The ones with the playboy insignia? Some type of laser communications equiptment associated with the Delta Force or WATT EVER their name was. Scared the sh/t out of my neighborhood.Remember all of the agencies that popped up? The agencies like the COPS program was supposed to be for the schools but they sure did interdict a lot and never wanted to work the accidents. There are records that indicate this.Figueroa and Lee Coleman.Sam Garcia and Romeo Lomas missappropriating and then borrowing from peter to pay paul back the missappropriated money. Peter never got paid back. Do we really need to rehash that crap?It all started when Clinton was president.Abramoff started when and official in the Clinton admin of Head Indian Affairs of Govt Agency (WHITEHOUSE) made a move allowing extinct indian tribes to become existent all they had to do was "find an indian" and they could build a casino. Well they found an unemployed welder.Since then ARAMOFF has permeated both sides with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.It is easier to name the ones who are not involved (of the elected DEMS and REPS).A South Texas Republican is a far different species than its National Counterpart as is a South Texas Democrat. The Valley needs to realize we helped them elect Chuey and I myself have defended him. Work with me? Quit trying to divide and pull power to the SOUTH.

Kingsville Economic Development is where there is a connection

Cisneros: I am watching! 4/22/2005 2:03:14 AM
King Ranch is only a name for a clandestine Elite group. Richard King was the King Ranch and then Henrietta. After that was an influx of Nazi war criminals secreted into America by way of South America; The Cleberg name becomes synonymous with the King Ranch. Cleberg or Kleberg? Either way it is a German sir name. Was the original Kleberg a Nazi? What was the grand plan for the King Ranch or was it for all of South Texas? Did the name Clement have anything to do with the Vatican or a Pope? History has portrayed the Scions of South Texas Ranching as honest heroes. How much farther from the truth could this history stray? This history is nothing more than a glorified folk tale! Richard King knew not loyalty to anyone. Not even his partners or his mentor Mifflin Kenedy. Mifflin was smart enough to veer from King after noticing King’s partners would always suffer some misfortunate accident. King acquired his land by many methods including breach of contract, trickery, harassment and Murder. Murder was the most effective method. This is where the Texas Rangers enter stage right. The Rangers were King’s personal enforcers. Led by Major Armstrong these ruthless huge “corn fed” Anglo “lawmen” pillaged, raped & murdered in the name of the State Of Texas. Since then, the Armstrong family not only acquired their own little acreage with a Polo field; they gained “invisible” control of the King Ranch and ascended to high positions of power within our Government. The Armstrong family is closely connected to the Bilderbergers Power Elite. Anne Armstrong is on the powerful elitist National Foreign Relations Committee and sits on the A&M Board of Regents (College Station) along with Guadalupe Rangel. The King Ranch over the years has harbored a craving for the Kenedy land or at least to waste it and use it for their own benefit. Some how, the Armstrong invisibly controls the King Ranch who influences the KFATSO to do the dirty work using Kenedy Land. Let us see if we can connect the dots? JFK was assassinated in Dallas. Oswald was blamed but many shots were fired as evidenced by the many nicks in the curb and vehicle; many bullets were fired and only three shots were heard. Hum? Silencers! History reveals to us that Francis Cardinal Spellman ordered the hit on JFK! Who is Spellman? In New York, the Vatican Intelligence 'special division' is directed by Cardinal Spellman. Cardinal Spellman is directly connected to J Peter Grace and Cardinal Bernard Law (Boston Diocese Pedophile). Why would Spellman want Kennedy dead? The King Ranch owned the Ranch in Mexico where the Campfire Boys trained as sharpshooters. Oswald as well as the whole team of assassins that killed JFK trained there. Now the King Ranch owned land in Cuba that was taken away when Castro ascended to power. Not only this; they are the force behind LBJ’s ascension to the Oval office. At this time before JFK was murdered; Sarita Kenedy East had recently passed and KFATSO would have welcomed a “strong arm” as an advantage. The King Ranch Super-lawyers and political influence were furnished to KFATSO at that time to battle the high & mighty J Peter Grace for control. KFATSO & King Ranch still share the Super lawyers and the influence as they are one except the Kenedy land is always the bait; never King Ranch land or Armstrong land. By the King Ranch lending a “strong arm” to KFATSO a reciprocity had to of occurred. Did Spellman provide the favor? Directly or indirectly, Spellman ordered the hit and in doing so favored the King Ranch? Why would the King Ranch off JFK? First, LBJ was their man and he was so close to the Oval office they could smell it. JFK did not align with the Good ole Boy system that already had plans to overthrow Castro after his changes affected corporate America. Sugar Cane prices went up & several Corporate Ranches were given back to the Cubans. JFK’s refusal to go ahead with the planned invasion did not stop the invasion but many CIA Agents were killed or captured in the Invasion we know as the Bay of Pigs. To Nixon the “Bay of Pigs” is code for the JFK assassination. Water Gate tapes are sealed, as they will reveal the truth? King Ranch & Armstrong are well associated with the CIA as well as Area 51. Friends of the Armstrongs, Bushs, Hunts and Grace were killed because of JFK (as they seen it). Now they are leveraging our Government for favors here in South Texas. It seems as though Marc Cisneros has been dispatched here to deal with the demands. We can see TAMUK has already been absorbed by the King Ranch, as has the entire A&M system? General Cisneros has served up Kenedy land on a platter to bring fruition to promises made a long time ago. Other Federal agencies are exploiting (the vulnerability) the King Ranch blackmail has created? There is a Hubert Boothe Federal power play. The Sam Granato Federal element might be double edged with Cisneros and the Ed Byrne grant out of the WIA and the interaction with Kingsville Naval Air Station as well as his activities with the FBI & DEA. Then we have the Black Helicopters that have been identified as FBI copters. These helicopters are associated with some sort of laser satellite communications systems in underground bunkers. Then we have Suson and the DoD in collaboration with the Betterment hate. The Bettermen are nothing more than noise makers and agitators with a Nazi stench. These guys will not even get invited to the King Ranch for any occasion. Bettermen haters are viewed by the elite as trailer trash and genetically weak (of a “lesser breed of stock”. The Elite will never accept these Nazi haters into their circles. In theory, the King Ranch must possess a operative or puppet in KPD, Kleberg County Sheriffs Department, Commissioners Court, TAMUK, and various other strategical positions. These puppets are the tattle tales when adverse situations to the King Ranch interest arise. King Ranch is Armstrong, Hunt & Exxon but, are they aligned for the long term or short term? Stewart Armstrong is (financially) behind the division of Kingsville and yes; he is connected with the Armstrongs in Kenedy County. Finally, I will refer to the various agencies vying for Grant money control. Whoever wins elected offices will (each) get to control the grant monies. This is why the politics are so dirty & crass. The Love of Avarice and the addiction to power is the reason so much hate is spewed out on the Candidates and their family members. TAMUK is the King Ranch’s research & development supported by huge injections of grant money in the name of Higher Education. The Ed Byrne Grant is the interdiction law enforcement with a military liaison and intelligence. This is being abused on our local citizens to settle personal vendettas of ones in charge. It was legislated for interdiction of terrorists, bombs weapons & threats to National Security but it is primarily used in South Texas to intercept drugs, Marijuana and cash; Cash and vehicles feed the “Town Bosses” addiction to the Power & Avarice. Who are the Puppets? Get rid of them! Cisneros I am watching! Tobin, your blood is still the same old blood that murdered, raped & pillaged South Texas. For this your land will be returned to it’s rightful possessors.

He also Brokered deals with the King Ranch who when it boils down to it is Jack Hunt (whos involved in the Kingsville economic Development Group), Ray Lee Hunt and Exxon (who''s CEO is Lee Raymond. Exxon is common between KFATSO & King Ranch as is Hunt oil (who Ray Lee Hunt is CEO). The Black Helicopters came into town and Two specific buildings were damaged. One of them was the old Exxon Building. What role did Marc Cisneros play? Kenedy Foundation And Trust Soon Obsolete (KFATSO) has many of the same operatives as does the King Ranch. Two attorneys John Matthew Sjoberg & Shannon Ratliff. Ratliff''s Father is the Former Lt. Gov. of Texas. Her Family are very powerful people in Austin. They share Law Firms like Crofts & Callaway and Mike Hatchell (Super Lawyer). This is Exxon, the Hunts, & the Ex-Military federal element behind the good ole King Ranch name & its Running W Brand. There was a social study done on Kingsville prior to the demise of it''s leaders. The WIA funded study moved in through Hector Hinojosa in the TANF work program. Who was his Liason? Texas Workforce? DHS? The Grants for the Dare program as well as the constables Affiliated with Romeo Lomas and the recycling program / community service division stem from the seemingly benign Welfare Investment Act. This created the private sector relationship with the public sector. Now we get the businesses recieving public money as incentive to develop welfare recipients. But it has been exploited.

Approve Minutes: A number of board members said that they had not received copies of the board minutes from the November 28 meetings. A note pad was circulated asking each director to note how they wanted to receive their copy of the board minutes: email, fax, or mailed. Because of the confusion, the board decided to table approval of the minutes until the January meeting to allow sufficient time to review the minutes. Approve Operating Statement: Rudy Dyson moved that the operating statement of November 30, 2001 be approved as presented. Patti Wolfe seconded the motion and it carried. Establishment/Continuation of Committees: President Henkel highlighted key committees of the EDC for the coming year. He plans to combine the Long Range Planning, Infrastructure/ Utilities, and Business Incentive Committees into one. Henkel asked for members of the board to consider serving on this committee and to let either he or staff know if interested. The following individuals were asked to chair the respective committees: Committee Chairman Long Range Planning/Infrastructure/Utilities/Business Incentives Unnamed NAS Task Force Billie Gunter Education/Job Training Sylvia Aparicio Bylaws Review Rudy Dyson NAS Kingsville: Staff reported that the 2002 Defense Authorization Bill has passed both Houses of Congress (Dec. 13) and is headed to the President for his signature. Indications are that the president will sign the bill, which apparently includes $13M for two T-45C simulators for NAS Kingsville. These simulators were the highest priority of the NASKINGS Task Force. Congressman Ortiz was successful in inserting one simulator in the House Authorization bill, but nothing was included in the House Appropriations bill for the simulators. The Senate Authorization Committee failed to include the simulators in their version of the bill, but the Senate Appropriations Committee (of which Sen. Hutchison is a member) included the $13M for the two simulators. There is some concern that the Defense bill excluded approximately $13M for improved navigational equipment and parts for the T-45A aircraft at NAS Kingsville. The final disposition of that funding is still unclear. The NASKINGS Task Force has a three-pronged attack: (1) begin working with NAS Kingsville on identifying and funding a priority list of MILCON (military construction) projects; (2) work on key funding for NAS Kingsville with the supplemental budget; and (3) identify and initiate funding to be included in the FY 03 Defense Bill. Questions were asked about the proposal to locate the F-19 E/F Super Hornets at NAS Meridian. Meridian is still an F-18 base option for the Navy. Should the Navy decide to locate the East Coast Super Hornet Squadron at Meridian, the Navy would have to look at single siting all strike pilot training at NAS Kingsville. Reports A. Staff reported that the decision by Willacy County to pursue the $500,000 in spaceport funding from the state was twofold: (1) Kenedy County was not interested in pursuing the funding; and (2) Willacy County has identified a 10,000-acre site for a spaceport. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) stated that the home county of a spaceport site must be the applicant for the funding. The Sarita Spaceport Site identified and developed by the South Texas Spaceport Consortium lies in Kenedy County. Since Kenedy County would not apply for the funding, an alternate site was needed to access the funding. Willacy County Commissioners Court met Monday, December 10 and voted to create a spaceport authority, name the seven board members, apply for the funding, and hire Shiner Moseley & Associates to develop their response to the RFQ. Shiner Moseley will base their application on the Willacy County site, but will provide information on the alternate site in Kenedy County. The leadership of the South Texas Spaceport Consortium has met with Marc Cisneros, new CEO of the Kenedy Memorial Foundation, and reconfirmed their interest in pursuing a spaceport. B. A&P Certification classes will begin in January at Coastal Bend College-Kingsville. The classes will be conducted in the same building as the high school classes. Eventually, a new facility will be required to house the equipment necessary for FAA certification of the program. C (1). There continues to be confusion over the tax abatement contracts with Calling Solutions. The city, county and water authority all approved tax abatements on personal property beginning with the 2000 tax year. But, because approximately $500,000 worth of equipment was delivered to the Kingsville center just prior to January 1, 2000, the Kleberg County Appraisal District ruled that Calling Solutions was liable for the taxes. In addition, the building is owned by the city as a result of the $750,000 grant from the Texas Capital Fund. It was assumed that since the city owned the building it would not be placed on the tax rolls. But, the Appraisal District ruled that since the city is not using the building for city purposes, it would be subject to taxes. Calling Solutions is looking at $30,000 a year in taxes. Mayor Esquivel has agreed to call a meeting of all the three taxing entities in an attempt to resolve the tax abatement issue. C (2). The Kingsville City Commission voted unanimously Monday (Dec. 17) to sign a contract with S&B Infrastructure to do the engineering schematics for the Gen. Cavazos improvement project. The contact is for $150,000 and will accelerate construction of the improvements by two years. The private sector has pledged to provide 50% of the total cost ($75,000), with the remaining 50% ($75,000) provided as part of a Texas Capital Fund Grant. Kleberg County will consider contributing to the engineering schematics at their December 21 meeting. The EDC staff will be at the county meeting to explain the request. In other business, staff was asked about responses to the county and water authority concerning quarterly payments. A brief presentation was made to the Kleberg County Commissioners Court Monday, December 10 that was followed by a unanimous vote to fund the quarterly payment. A similar brief was given to the Kingsville City Commission Monday, December 17 but no vote was required. The South Texas Water Authority has sent a letter to the EDC asking for an explanation of the Bylaws concerning representations by public entities. At issue is the language in the Bylaws that originally read ?city, county and water authority representatives shall be voting members of the board? and was amended at the last board meeting to ?should be voting members.? The county asked that their representative be a full voting member. The city asked that the city manager be placed as a director on the EDC board as soon as an opening appears. A written response to the water authority will be issued as soon as possible. When the question of how the board would address the need for seating the county?s representative was asked, Rudy Dyson responded that it would not create a problem since he would tender his resignation. As a final note, President Joe Henkel presented Rudy Dyson with a plaque that acknowledged the EDC?s appreciation for his two years of leadership as president of the organization. There being no further action, the board adjourned. Approved: Sam Nelson, 1st Vice President

Richard Mifflin Kleberg, went to Washington as a Congressmen, and hired... 4/23/2005 1:02:14 AM
a young man named Lyndon Johnson as an aide. Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch In 1983, Debrett''s Peerage Ltd., publisher of Debrett''s Peerage and Baronetage, issued a book entitled Debrett''s Texas Peerage, on ``the aristocrats of Texas.'''' Featured quite prominently in the book was ``The Royal Family of Ranching,'''' the Klebergs of the King Ranch. ``Robert Justus Kleberg, Jr., was a god among Texas ranchers,'''' the chapter on the King Ranch began. ``They still talk about him today in reverent tones, not only on ranches around the world, but at `21,'' The Pierre, Saratoga, The Jockey Club and other exclusive enclaves which he used to frequent during racing season in the East.'''' The New York Times has repeatedly referred to the spread as ``the legendary King Ranch,'''' and Debrett''s said that before the ranch opened itself to oil production, it was known as ``the Walled Kingdom.'''' The Klebergs, Debrett''s gushed, had ``lifelong friendships with the Whitneys, Vanderbilts and other horsey families of the East.'''' The ranch has also been host to some of the most powerful oligarchs in the world, including Prince Johannes von Thurn und Taxis, hereditary head of the Venetian intelligence service, and Prince Charles of Britain. Anne Armstrong of the King Ranch was U.S. Ambassador to Britain in the 1970s, as well as being chairman of the President''s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (PFIAB) from 1982 to 1990, under Reagan and Bush. [5] The King Ranch was formed in 1857 by Captain Richard King, who had made his living as a steamboat captain running cargo and passengers along the Rio Grande River; he had arrived on the Rio Grande just after Gen. Zachary Taylor arrived with his army to defend the State of Texas against Mexico. King and his partner, Mifflin Kenedy, ran supplies for Taylor, in an operation which was actually an intelligence network operating under the cover of commerce. Just prior to the Civil War, King and Kenedy bought huge tracts of land just south of Corpus Christi; another member of the network was Charles Stillman, a border merchant who later moved to New York to found the National City Bank (a.k.a. Citibank). King''s principal lawyer in the early days was Stephen Powers of Brownsville, who had previously been a U.S. consul to Switzerland. During the Civil War, the King Ranch was an important transshipment point for Confederate supplies, particularly when the Mexican port of Matamoros took on crucial importance after the Union blockade closed the ports in the South. The ranch also functioned as an intelligence center for the Confederacy. The Klebergs entered the picture when Robert Justus Kleberg (``Kleberg the First,'''' according to Debrett''s) married Captain King''s daughter, Alice. When Captain King died in 1885, Kleberg took command of the ranch. Kleberg the First and Alice had two sons and three daughters. The elder son, Richard Mifflin Kleberg, went to Washington as a Congressmen, and hired a young man named Lyndon Johnson as an aide. The younger son, Robert, Jr., eventually took over the ranch from his father. The business operations of the ranch in the mid-1980s were run by Jim Clement, the Princeton-trained son of Martin Clement, a former honcho of the Pennsylvania Railroad. One of Clement''s friends and regular guests was the late Prince Johannes von Thurn und Taxis, the aforementioned Venetian spook and oligarch. The King Ranch got a financial boost when oil was discovered on the property, and royalties from Humble Oil & Refining (later bought by Exxon) started rolling in. With their social and political connections, and the oil money, the King-Kleberg heirs moved into the corporate world. [6] In 1977, Prince Charles visited the Armstrong Ranch to play polo with Anne''s husband, Tobin Armstrong of the Armstrong Ranch; his brother John Armstrong of the neighboring King Ranch; John''s son Charles Armstrong, and oil heir Will Farish of Houston, among others. I seen TV 3 this evening and they were trying to sensationalize a Senator that I believe was standing up for the little people. When stopped he exits his vehicle to the rear and ask the officer the reason he is being pulled over. The officer replies that he crossed the white line and that was the reason. Then the officer proceeds to ascertain the degree (how dark)of the window tint. I consider that a aearch! Without permission? Channel 3 was wrong! Thank you Chuy for standing up for us. He was headed South in a High Profile SUV so the only thing they could have been looking for is $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Once again an example of Law Enforcement "Addicted to Avarice". Chuy got a warning however I got a ticket in Bioshop for the same thing. Illegal Searches must be stopped!

chuy was pulled over for BOTH crossing the white line AND having tinted windows... watch the tape again, the cop says ""i pulled up along side of you because your windows looked too dark"" Then upon testing, what to you know, too dark. Re: Yeah, and give the cop . . . 4/20/2005 2:16:10 PM
no, we have laws and we have to follow them. but if they search your car for no valid reason then you should inform them that you know your rights and tell them that you will not let them search your car and not just sit there and just follow orders from a peace officer that is there to serve and protect, not stop, search, and prosecute. and the cop should have given you a ticket no matter how submissive you were or are and you had to feel like you were in the hands of cop, you were the malible phlegm that builds up in his throat and he could decide to eject you or swallow your life away. of course this is a wild exageration because it was just a speeding ticket but it would be more comparible if you were going that fast in a school zone. you know humans by nature are not submissive, we are the dominating mammal because of that, and some people are dominated in sub-categories in the human mammal category because of lack of ""spine"". why do you think you are ""broke"" in the military? you are trained to follow orders without question and when that happens you have just become ""broke"" or dominated.

i guess we should be good little civilians and not tint our windows at all because what do we have to hide, right? You should be a good little civilian and not ILLEGALLY tint your windows, if you don''t want to get pulled over. Your questioning the very fabric of society(which I don''t mind), sure tinted windows seem trival, but its the law. If you don''t like the law you can always work to change it. and remember, don''t question orders, you could get tasered if the Commanding Officer sees fit to do so. Well, thats an exageration... but if you give a cop attitude he''s not gonna like it. Its possible to ask questions in a respectful way and not get slamed.

Don''t they have to ask you before searching your car? If you say yes, you gave them permission and they have the legal right to search. If you say no, they either have to let you go or get a warrant out there. Don''t let them walk over you.

Re: Thank You Sen. Chuy Hinojosa for taking a stand! 4/20/2005 8:58:21 PM
First of all, Chuy isn''t standing up for the little guy. He is just having a tantrum. He is the big bad senator, who violated the law, albeit a minor law, who was ticked off that he was called on it. Secondly, while you may believe it is a search, the federal courts do not agree. Probable cause existed for the officer to check the tint, since he could not see through the tint that was well over the legal limit. Chuy, like all of us, have to observe the same laws that the legislature, of which he is a part I might add, adopts. He is just a patron going after the little guy, not standing up for them. He thinks he is above them. He does lie like a politician though...
Jaime KenedenoPosts: 1460

Dont insult........ 4/20/2005 10:03:22 PM
your intelligence Guido. Those tint meters are an easy & efficient way of generating money for the local ""political bosses"" in South Texas. It is the quota system tweaked and then cubed. So is the law applicable to the darkness of window tint. Like Curmy said they do not pull the Pres or the Vice pres over for the windows that might as well be walls (as far as vision is considered). Several on the ""Hill"" are violating the Law as your interpretation implies. My windows were rolled down when they pulled me over to check? Whether he is throwing a tantrum or not he is still standing up for a group of people that have been subjected to the Corrupted Greed of Corridor Lawmen. God does work in mysterious ways? Sen Chuy Hinojosa is not the only one complaining about the Byrne Grant officers and interdiction. Educate yourself on the issue?

Re: Re: Thank You Sen. Chuy Hinojosa for taking a stand! 4/23/2005 1:46:41 AM
Here is my take on the issue. First of all this reminded me of the video durring the election of govenor Rick Perry with the trooper outside Austin. Chuy was doing nothing but trying to use his power and influence to intimidate the officer. Chuy was stopped for crossing the white line and the dark window tint. Simple. It was not racial or even drug courier profiling. Don''t read to much into things. He is lucky officer Magee gave him a warning. Maybe Chuy is sending a message to us. Remember it ws not long ago in the valley news, Chuy was linked to some campaign supporters who have been under investigation for drug trafficing by the federal gov''t. Ask yourself is Chuy really out for the little man or is this some form of campaign support. Remember Texas began the concept and practice of inercepting and getting the dope and dope money off the street. Every year other states have sent their officers to learn form agencies like the South Texs Narcotics Task Force. This is not some fly by night thing. And the best part is that drug courier profiling is OK by the gov''t and not considered racial profiling. The reality is simple if we loose drug interdiction then we can expect the illegal drug market to once again flourish. Right now we are putting a dent. It is no secret that HWY 77 and HWY 281 are known major drug trafficing routes into the US. It has been for over 15 years now. Hitting them where the money is hurts. Getting the drug money hurts more than the dug seizures. I have both stopped vehicles and recieved consent to search and have been stopped and searched (consent given). For those of us who toe the line then we have nothing to fear. But for those who have something to fear then you see the worry lines begin to raise. CMR CMR

Chuy Hinojosa is only one of many Legislators... 4/23/2005 3:26:19 AM
including the National Congress that want to end the Ed Byrne Grant & the fraud / corruption connected to it. Do you know this grant stems from the WIA welfare to work legislation of 1995-97? Chuey did nothing in violation during the stop. He only exercised his rights; probably moreso than an ordinary (not legally trained) citizen. If more people refused to be searched then they would not harrass multitudes to catch the few. I am against the traffickers and terrorists but not at the expense of the patriot act being used against americans who are not in posession of drugs with the intent to distribute, but they are seizing $$$$$$$$$$ & vehicles for a minute amount of Mary Jane (sometimes a seed) or money that a dog alerts to like less than 10K that might harbor a residue. Stashing of money to keep for themselves and sometimes even drugs to boot also. These guys are ""Addicted to Avarice"". Tim Knowell needs to check himself!

money rather than drugs? now you confirmed what i already knew its the cash from the profits of the drugs you want and not the ""interdiction"" of the drugs that give you the cash i bet you you profile where ever you are! courier profile? that is a new one, thanx for the insight! is that why he was stopped? so it was not the tint or ""white"" line? good to know it was a ""routine acceptable traffic stop!"" you can bet it will not be routine when you stop me... i''ve been accused of having an ""attitude"" but with the utmost respect!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Thank You Sen. Chuy Hinojosa for taking a stand! 4/25/2005 12:56:22 AM
It has never been a secret that interdiction targets both the removal of drug and the big hit to the pocket book of the drug leaders. When I went through drug interdiction training in 1996, I was shocked to learn of the most commonly used individuals for transporting the illegal drugs are women with children. The sad part is that it has not changed as far as the couriers. As far as using the word routine...I don''t believe in it. Just last week I was assisting another officer on a DWI stop of a 30''s white female with two young children in the car. When I was able to release the children to their grandparent not only did I find Rx meds in the front under the seat but was has tested positive as ""Meth"" near one car seat. The reality is that while profiling is a tool that has been used as a means of intelligence gathering, there is no such thing as routine and no amount of intelligence that will truely predict a specific behavior (esp when it comes to drugs). I don''t work traffic enforcement full time but I do average 6 - 10 stops per day and not a single one could be considered routine.

Juan Escobar, John Hubert, Lomas and the Running W Puppet Show. Told Ya? 4/30/2005 4:29:23 AM
State panel Oks new district court Plan for Kleberg, Kenedy counties sent to full House By TIM EATON Scripps Howard Austin Bureau April 20, 2005 AUSTIN - The House Judiciary Committee unanimously passed a bill that would create a new district court for Kleberg and Kenedy counties. Supporters say the court is needed because of a backlog of cases, including many that originate from Border Patrol checkpoints. But opponents say it is a waste of money and isn't needed. Advertisement Committee members listened to testimony late Monday night on the bill by Rep. Juan Escobar, D-Kingsville. The committee vote sends it to the full House for consideration within the next few weeks. About 10 people from the Coastal Bend went to Austin to show support for the would-be 423rd District Court. Supporters included Escobar's former opponent John Hubert, Kleberg County Commissioner Romeo Lomas and Kleberg County Court at Law Judge Martin Chiuminatto. While some people made the trip to testify in favor of the court, others in the district said creating a new court would be a waste of money. Escobar's bill would remove some responsibilities from Judge J. Manuel Banales of the 105th District Court, which serves Nueces, Kleberg and Kenedy counties. "We have the 105th that has an impact on our community, but the judge is only a part-time judge," Escaobar told members of the judiciary committee. "He spends most of his time in Nueces County." Escobar said Banales spends about five days a month outside of Nueces County. Banales could not be reached Monday or Tuesday, but he said last month the counties do not generate enough cases to warrant a separate judicial district. The bill would form the new district court at a cost to the state of $118,854 for 2006 and $129,659 in subsequent years. Setup costs to Kleberg County would be minimal because the county already has a courtroom and staff that serves Banales. After the court became operational, the total cost to the counties would be about $80,000 a year for benefits and payroll for court personnel, according to the Legislative Budget Board. But Kenedy County Commissioner Tobin Armstrong, who did not testify, said he knows of no reason to spend the money. In a telephone interview, he called the bill "totally unnecessary." He also said "it blows my mind" why Escobar would file a bill when everything is working fine and nobody is complaining. "We have an excellent system that is working beautifully," Armstrong said. "Banales is right on top of things." If Escobar had asked, Armstrong said he would have told him not to bother with filing the legislation. But Kleberg County Commissioner Joe Hinojosa, who did not testify, said he supports a new district court. "For the progress of Kingsville, we need a district court," he said. "It would benefit Kleberg and Nueces counties." Contact Tim Eaton at (512)334-6642 or eatont@scripps.com

400K acres burning pockets: Bombing Range & now Messbarger tries to sell... 4/30/2005 5:44:15 AM
us on U-238 & a windfarm? ________________________________________ The community''s business with Dick Messbarger Let''s recognize our other energy sources March 28, 2005 Forget the old slogans touting ""A sport forever Texas"" and ""The Living Legend."" We''re going to start touting our area as the ""Diversified Energy Capital of Texas."" The Kleberg-Kenedy county region long has been a major producer of oil and gas, and about 20 years ago Uranium Resources Inc. (URI) with the Kingsville Dome Project initiated uranium mining. Advertisement This past year, American Shoreline announced the Penascale Wind Farm in Kenedy County, a potential $400-million project that could produce enough electricity to power the entire city of Brownsville. A second wind farm comparable in size to the Penascale effort has been discussed with Kenedy County Commissioners and also would be located along the coast in Kenedy County. So, if you look at oil and gas production, uranium mining and the prospect of wind generation, you see why I''m proposing a new slogan for the area. Some even have suggested that if you could tap into some discussions by area political entities, the hot air generated could produce another energy source - geo-thermal (that one will get me into trouble, but it was too rich to pass up). Uranium mining in Kleberg County has not followed a smooth road to production. Opposed by the Kleberg County Commissioners Court, URI eventually opened a mine that produced millions of pounds of yellow cake during its years of active operation. URI had a positive impact on the area''s economy but failed to complete restoration of its minefield, hampering its efforts to reopen the mine. When the price of uranium started falling in the 1980s, primarily because of Russia dumping an oversupply of enriched uranium on the world market, domestic mining came to a screeching halt. The price fell to as low as $7 a pound and it became impossible for unsubsidized uranium mining companies to stay competitive. Only foreign firms in places like Canada, Australia, China and Russia continued mining because their governments provided financial support - as our government has in steel, agriculture, railroads and shipping industries. Now the picture has changed. The price of uranium has been climbing to all-time highs (above $20 a pound) and the demand is skyrocketing. Because there was a surplus of uranium for years, the development of new fields was stymied and old mines were shut down - and most U.S. uranium mining companies went out of business. Today there is a major shortfall in uranium mining. This comes as 25 new nuclear plants are under construction, 37 plants are on line for construction during the next few years, and 74 plants are proposed (20 new plants in China alone). The atom generates 20 percent of U.S. electricity and powers 16 percent of the world''s electricity. World consumption is 180 million pounds a year, while production sits at around 100 million pounds. Gerald Grandey, CEO of Cameco, a Canadian uranium mining company, told a mining conference in Vancouver last week: ""The shortfall between demand and production has been covered by civilian and military inventories these inventories are finite and cannot continue to bridge the shortfall between consumption and primary mine production beyond a few more years."" Harry Anthony, a Kleberg County resident and expert in the uranium mining industry, has been traveling the globe evaluating potential mine fields in places such as Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Australia. He points out that the annual uranium requirement for the United States is around 55 million pounds for nuclear refueling, but the current domestic production stands at 2.3 million pounds. That means we are importing 95 percent of the fuel for domestic nuclear plants, a larger dependency on foreign uranium sources than oil. Anthony has scanned the old Humble/Exxon logs and feels there are potentially large uranium deposits in the area, particularly in Kleberg and Kenedy counties. Currently there doesn''t appear to be much of an appetite for expanded uranium mining with current landowners and governmental bodies. Experts in the nuclear industry have said for years that another nuclear plant likely won''t be approved for construction in the United States. Regardless, with oil at $50-plus a barrel, natural gas prices climbing and the downside to the environment with coal-fired plants, the prospects of generating energy from wind and the atom look more promising each day. And that, my friends, makes the Wild Horse Desert appear as the ""Diversified Energy Capital of Texas."" Dick Messbarger is executive director of the Greater Kingsville Economic Development Council.

The underlying motives for this judicial creation has the stench of a Hubertian Cleberg Republican Party Agenda. With A Tony ""Two Fer"" Canales / Booth / Border Patrol Federal Element. Manuel Banales does not beleive it is needed. He is not a malleable Judge is the reason they wish to circumvent. Tobin & Anne Armstrong have come out against the idea also. Probably because it will place Kenedy County at the hands of Cleberg County? Plan A which was to get Guy Williams into the DA''s Office and John Hubert into the Lege with the Good ole Boy Mayor Fugate and Lomas ''the drunk"" brown nosing and advocating King ranch Agenda. Plan A failed. But it did reveal a lot! Plan A did not work. on to Plan B Now Plan B A New District Court with a Puppet Judge and prosecutor for the Sarita Check point $$$$$$$$$$$$ and Border Patrol influence with the WIA funded Drug Interdiction / Seizure / Forfeiture assets. They don''t want the court for reasons of Comity. They want it so they can install their people to accomplish a certain agenda. They want a Puppet in the Wild Horse Desert! You need to go to the Docket Call.... 5/2/2005 10:41:47 AM
and witness true efficiency at work. Banales is a Work A Holic. In Cleberg the Community Supervision department is a cash cow. Not because of the fines and fees that the revolving door brings in but because of the Grants they get to operate the facilities. Then each ""special situation"" of a probationer merits another type of Grant. They alway fight dirty in Kingsville for the positions that control the Procurement & Acquisition and thus the plush grant money. The 105th bills Cleberg and oversees the Forfeitures and seizures also. There is a Plea Bargain System and Unadjudicated probation is a common sentence. So the Adjudication or Criminal trial is sort of postponed and postponed while the probationer is complying. If he messes up they can revoke and adjudicate. You cannot truyst Lomas or Hubey! Escobar got bullied into the lege!
